History
Founded in 1998, the South Dakota Health Research Foundation (SDHRF) is the product
of an ambitious and thriving relationship between the University of South Dakota School of Medicine
(currently the Sanford School of Medicine of the University of South Dakota) and Sioux Valley Hospitals & Health System.
Backed by a financial commitment of $10,000,000 over ten years by Sioux Valley and
the contribution of compliance and personnel resources by the University of South
Dakota, the Foundation has become a leading force in South Dakota research.
